Your Role:

In this role, the Information Security Engineer will evaluate, coordinate, implement and maintain Cybersecurity systems. They will work closely with Information Security analysts and members of the IT Department to ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of assets, primarily in a highly controlled environment.
Your Opportunity:

  • Recommend, evaluate and deploy solutions to improve security posture

  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and resiliency of cybersecurity systems and applications

  • Provide operational support and maintenance of security appliances

  • Assist in the identification and remediation of threats across the enterprise and mitigate risks from assessments reported by Security Analysts or 3rd party associates

  • Document projects and write Standard Operating Procedures

  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with all team members

  • Manage time and technical responsibilities, set accurate expectations and meet deadlines

  • Provide off-hours support on an infrequent but as needed basis

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time

What You'll Need:

  • U.S. Citizen and currently hold an active Security Clearance)

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Security

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, SANS training or equivalent experience

  • Experience with securing Windows, Linux, mobile devices and IaaS

  • Technical understanding and experience with network security technology including IDS and IPS, Firewalls and network traffic analysis

  • Understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack and application protocols such as HTTP, SNMP, SMTP, DNS, and DHCP

  • Experience with authentication protocols for network resources including 802.1x, SSH, TACACS+, LDAP

  • Experience with security controls for WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN and Cloud architectures

  • Hands-on experience with 5 of the following: vulnerability scanning, firewall, antivirus malware analysis, IDS/IPS, log correlation tools, SIEM, VMWare, NAC

  • Experience with Splunk ES and/or Trend Micro Deep Security is preferred

  • Experience in a FedRAMPed environment is a plus

  • Ability to perform well, in an agile environment, with minimal supervision

  • Self-motivated while demonstrating a passion for Cybersecurity

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

Ideally:

  • Security+, GIAC GCIH or other Infosec certifications is a plus
